Currently we have four different grades of Hakwood European Oak available to you. These are Country, Rustic, Premier / 1-bis and Prime. In the next couple off weeks we will also be updating the site with some of Hakwoods pre-finished range which are designed with uniqueness and quality in mind.

These Character Grade engineered oak boards are 160mm wide and no less than 2.2 metres long. Our Character grade flooring is one of our most popular grades because of its blend of minor knots, shakes and fissures along with large areas of perfectly grained oak.

Unlike many low quality engineered boards on the market, our boards have a 6mm wear layer which is bonded to a high quality birch plywood for maximum strength.

These boards are pre-finished with Osmo Polyx-Oil Matt, meaning that all the work of finishing the boards is done for you. The advantage of these boards are that should you damage a board during fitting, you can simply sand the affected area, brush on some new Osmo (which is available from us) and your boards will look as good as new.

The 220mm wide solid oak board is the kind that is often used in traditional French country properties, chateaux, and stately homes making this board the real deal. Looking spectacular in large rooms, these boards exude a sense of wealth, age and tradition.

Normally when you apply a traditional hard wax oil such as Osmo Polyx Oil or Blanchon Hard Wax Oil your floor will take on the deep, warm honey colour, which is loved by many. However many also look for a product which provides similar protection to hard wax oil but leaves your floor looking exactly as it did when it was first laid, in its unfinished state.

Blanchon Wood Floor Oil Environment is odourless, non-yellowing and will touch dry in just 20 minutes giving you a natural matt finish.

Currently we sell them in 5 litre tins at just £62.50 + VAT (£75.00 Inc. VAT & Delivery). 5 litres will cover 75 square metres with one coat or 25 square metres with the recommended 3 coats.

The Osmo Polyx-Oil is a natural hard wax oil finish for untreated and unfinished wooden floors. Once brushed into the floor, it is quickly absorbed to give either a matt or satin finish. This is hard-wearing, micro-porous (breathable) and also water repellent. Osmo Polyx-Oil is resistant against wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juices, milk and water according to DIN 68861-1C (German Industrial Norm).

When using Osmo Polyx-Oil, to keep your floor looking in that same great condition you will need to clean it. The Osmo Wash and Care is formulated to provide the best after care for wood floors which have been finished with Polyx-Oil.
